Football Analyst, Simon Utsu Berates Lionel Messi For Acting Unruly After His Defeat

A football Analyst, Simon Utsu has berated a football super star, Lionel Messi, for his Unruly behavior after his tram’s defeat by Uruguay.

Utsu took to his verified Facebook page and stated that “Here is their goat, doing silly things yesterday night, after his side were outplayed and roundly defeated by Uruguay. I thought they claim he’s an epitome of humility & simplicity. I can’t remember when attempted manslaughter(by asphyxiation) became the definition of humility.

“Ironically, this happened on the same night that the real deal, the Portuguese delight(I wont mention his name so some people dont go gaga), broke a couple of international goal scoring records(which he’d previously set of course!).

“I know Leo is crooked FIFA’s first bride so they won’t discipline him accordingly.”

Do You Know That Chris Brown Has Sold Over 217 Million Records, Making Him One Of The World’s Best-selling Music Artist

Christopher Maurice Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and actor. One of the most successful R&B singers of all time, he has often been referred to by contemporaries as the “King of R&B”.

His musical style has been defined as polyhedric, with his R&B being characterized by several influences from other genres, mainly pop music and hip hop. His lyrics develop predominantly over themes of romance, sex, fast life, desire, lovesickness, regret, emotional conflict and loneliness. Brown has had wide comparisons to Michael Jackson for his talent and stage presence.

In 2004, Brown signed with Jive Records and released his eponymous debut studio album the following year, which was later certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With his debut single “Run It!” (featuring Juelz Santana) peaking atop the Billboard Hot 100, Brown became the first male artist since 1995 to have his debut single top the chart. His second album, Exclusive (2007), was met with further commercial success worldwide, and spawned his second Billboard Hot 100 number one “Kiss Kiss” (featuring T-Pain).

In 2009, Brown pled guilty to felony assault of his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna. This foresaw the release of his third album, Graffiti which was considered to be a commercial failure compared to his previous works.

Following Graffiti, Brown released his fourth album F.A.M.E. (2011), which became his first album to top the Billboard 200. The album contained the commercially successful singles: “Yeah 3x”, “Look at Me Now” (featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes) and “Beautiful People” (featuring Benny Benassi), and earned him the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album.
His fifth album, Fortune, released in 2012, also topped the Billboard 200.

Following the releases of X (2014) and Royalty (2015), his eighth album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon, a double-disc LP consisting of 45 tracks, was certified gold by the RIAA for combined sales and album-equivalent units of over 500,000 after one week, and was later certified double platinum. Brown’s ninth studio album, Indigo (2019) found similar success, debuting atop the Billboard 200.
It included the single “No Guidance” (featuring Drake) which broke the record for the longest-running number one on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Its chart success was outdone with the single “Go Crazy” (with Young Thug) released the following year, which broke Brown’s own record for the longest-running number one on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart set previously by “No Guidance”.

In 2022, his Indigo album spawned a sleeper hit with its song “Under the Influence”, which was re-released as a single.

Brown has sold over 217 million records worldwide, making him one of the world’s best-selling music artists. He is also one of the highest-grossing African American touring artists of all time. Brown has the most Billboard Hot 100 entries of any male singer in history;[ the most top 40 hits of any R&B singer in history; the most RIAA gold certified singles of any male singer in history; and the most RIAA multi-platinum of any male singer in history.[43] Brown was also ranked third on Billboard’s top R&B/Hip-Hop artists of the 2010s decade chart, behind Drake and Rihanna in first and second, respectively.

Moreover, Brown has won a total of 199 awards from 506 nominations over the course of his career. Brown has also pursued an acting career. In 2007, he made his on-screen feature film debut in Stomp the Yard, and appeared as a guest on the television series The O.C. Other films Brown has appeared in include This Christmas (2007), Takers (2010), Think Like a Man (2012), Battle of the Year (2013) and She Ball (2020).

  • Congratulations And Happy 20th Priestly Anniversary To Very Rev Fr Peter Abang Ochang BY ELIJAH UGANI

Congratulations And Happy 20th Priestly Anniversary To Very Rev Fr Peter Abang Ochang BY ELIJAH UGANI

20 years ago, you were called and ordained a priest for the Catholic Diocese of Ogoja, you have lived your life in accordance with your vocation and calling.

Fr Ochang is a living testimony of God’s benevolence and magnanimity in the lives of the poor of the poorest in the society.

He is a crusader of ecumenism. He integrates Catholics, Pentecostals and non Christians alike wherever he is sent to propagate the gospel.

Fr Ochang will go borrowing to solve problems of those in need. His parish house is a beheeve of people with different problems who comes to seek succor.

Fr Ochang will raise money during mass for people who are critically ill, who comes to his parish house to seek help. He does not care to know whether you are a Catholic or a Christian, all he cares is that the Church must serve a soul. This attitude of his has converted so many souls to the glory of God.

Whenever you come to visit him, including his brother priests, he struggles to give you fuel. The religious, the seminarians, catechists, his parishioners and all those who comes to him shares in whatever he has.

His vocation, in addition to winning souls for Christ is that of arms giving. He has identified his calling, he is living the life and God readily provides for him to reach out to those in need. He prefers to drive on the road with an empty pocket than to see someone in need and drive pass.

Fr Ochang finds joy when he put smiles on the faces of the destitute, the oppressed, the orphans. He has supported more than 25 young people acquired degrees in various disciplines, and others still counting. He has paid hospital bills to countless number of persons.

Fr Ochang is one of the priests who identifies young people in his place of pastoral assignment, send them to school or to learn a trade.

When you listen to him recite scriptural verses effortlessly at will, you will be tempted to assume that Fr Ochang is one of those that were inspired to write the scriptures.

His melodious rendition during homilies/sermons connects his audience with God. A pathfinder and teacher of the gospel. He is an encyclopedia of grammar. If you want to listen to well structured and coordinated use of grammar in contexts, simply tell father not to speak grammar. No wonder, his brother priests nicknamed him “OCHANGISM”

I encountered Fr Ochang on April 20th 2000. At which time he was still undergoing formation as a seminarian. I cannot forget in a hurry the aura of a good man. He is my friend, mentor, teacher, role model and above all, my spiritual guide. I’m very pleased in the priest he has become today.

Fr has no room in his heart to harbour grudges. Quarrel with him today, if he sees you tomorrow he embraces you with smiles. He uses his open mindedness to disarm his enemies. While others may be busy speaking ill of Fr Ochang, he eulogies those who back stabs him.

I wish this space will be enough to capture a true reflection of this trailblazing apostle of Christ, as his ministry has no doubt convinced many who encounters him without bias that Christ still live amongst us.

Fr Ochang fights witchcraft branding and injustice. Community leaders who suppress their subjects will always have Ochang to contend with. Fr Ochang will make life unbearable for the leaders in that community to a point that such a community will take Fr reactions into consideration while taking decisions. He is fearless and speaks truth to power.

My prayer for Fr Ochang daily is that God grant him the grace to see him face to face, having offered himself as an example of the living Christ.

On this auspicious day of his 20th priestly anniversary, I wish him renewed strength, zeal, determination, the enablement and the auction to function as he continue to propagate the gospel of Christ to all ends of the earth. I wish him many fruitful years ahead, in his apostolic ministry.

The Church in general and the Catholic diocese of Ogoja in particular is very pleased to have you as one of her pastors. The diocese is filled with echoes of your apostolic stewardship.

I want to use this opportunity to request two things from all of you who will come across this piece.

    1. Join me in thanksgiving and pray for the ministry of Very Rev Fr Peter Abang Ochang, in his human frailty, kindly pray for and encourage him
    2. Make it a point of duty to support Fr Ochang to continue the good works he is doing in reaching out to the poor whenever you have the opportunity (You can do this by reaching out to the poor directly or send your contribution to Fr Ochang).

My thoughts, goodwill and prayer is with you now and always.

Once again, Congratulations and happy birth anniversary to you
    Comr. Elijah Ugani

  • Nigeria Idol: Reactions trail result of 6th edition

    By Favour Izukah

Few days after Kingdom Kroseide was announced winner of the 6th edition of Nigeria Idol 2021, Nigerians have continued to react on the results as announced by the panel of judges. They believed that it was a well reserved and transparent judgment.

The competition which was premiered on the 14th of March 2021 saw the participation of contestants across the country who came for the audition.

Reacting to this win, Nigerians who followed through the show intimated The Lumine News that the winning was a well deserved one for Kingdom.

A banker, Uche Ikpeama said ” It’s a well deserved win. He and Francis were far ahead of the rest of the contestants and I’m glad they both made it to the finals. And that was where it got tough. I couldn’t even vote again because anyone of the 2 deserved to win and I was going to be happy for anyone that emerged as the winner”.

For Solomon Gerund, a Software Engineer, who said he rooted for Kingdom as he was one contestant that caught his attention averred that: “For Kingdom particularly, I followed his journey from the very beginning. He caught my attention from when he made Seyi Shay to cry. I knew he’d go far but I became almost sure he was going to win on his first live audition. He was just consistent in wowing us all through the show.”

On his part, Agozie Chukwubundu, A student of the University of Nigeria said that she had to follow the show because of her love for music. She said she streamed the show online because of the social media presence Kingdom had while he was on the show. “I figured Kingdom would win. His fanbase was way bigger than Francis’s and that was what got me interested at the beginning”, the UNN undergraduate said.

Tina Atunwa, A graduate of the University of Nigeria said Kingdom deserved the win as he had always proved himself in each of his performance. “He deserves it… His voice and choice of songs were spectacular, the vibes and everything gave him an edge.”

Although Kingdom won, some people still had different opinions on his win. And according to Domshak Sunday, “First of all I will like to congratulate kingdom on his success. But on a personal level, I feel francis had what I liked in a singer. Kingdom has the voice yes but Francis had a better voice for me because he could use both the lower octave and higher octave comfortably.

“Again, I think kingdom had more social media presence than any other contestant in the competition which is an edge for him, and that is what companies love.”

For Adeola Thomas, she felt kingdom won because of his fanbase. She however believed that Francis was a better option for the win. “Francis had it all but I guess your social media presence on the show matters too and that was what gave Kingdom the edge over Francis.”

Recall that after the audition, 68 contestants made it to theatre week and from the theatre week, the 69 participants were streamlined down to 17 contestants.
Each week saw the contestants performing in line with the theme of the week to make it to the next stage. And for the 16 weeks, contestants who couldn’t make it to the next stage were evicted on weekly basis.

Interestingly, only two contestants; Kingdom Kroseide and Francis Atela made it to the grand finale. And at the end of it all, Kingdom Kroseide was announced as the sixth and latest Nigerian Idol.

It is worthy to mention that apart from emerging as the winner of the sixth edition of the Nigerian Idol Music Competition, it was also announced that Kingdom would be going home with the grand prize, which included a cash prize of N30 million, a brand new SUV, a six-track EP recording deal with three music videos including an all-expense-paid trip to Seychelles, and a weekend getaway to Dubai for two.

Other gifts include a wide range of Tecno products, Bigi branded refrigerator plus one year supply of Bigi drinks, and a DSTV Explora fully installed with a premium subscription for 12 months.
