C’River PDP Describes The Invasion Of Its Secretariat By The APC As A Tragedy Of Lawlessness

    By Admin

The Cross River State chapter of the People Democratic Party PDP has described the invasion of its secretariat by the ruling All Progressive Congress APC as a tragedy of lawlessness.

In a release made available to The Lumine News and signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Prince Mike Ojisi calls on the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 6, Calabar and  heads of all Security Agencies in Cross River State to expeditiously intervene and help restore the rule of law in the face of this brazen and evasive rape of the law by the APC.

    The release reads in full:

“APC’s Invasion Of Our Party Secretariat: Tragedy of Lawlessness.

“On Wednesday, 10th November 2021, the peace-loving People of Cross River State were once again greeted by another reckless act of lawlessness orchestrated by the unproductive All Progressive Congress in Cross River State.

“The Peoples Democratic Party Cross River State received with grave concern the news of the unlawful invasion of our Party’s Secretariat at Murtala Mohammed Highway Calabar, by the yet-to-be inaugurated handpicked State Working Committee of the APC led by the factional Chairman, Barr. Alphonsus Eba. To this end, it has become absolutely imperative and instructive that we address this issue and make it clear that the lawless APC lacks the locus standi to invade the said party Secretariat which is still under contention. It’s also worthy of note to stress that, following the instructions of the AIG Zone 6 for both parties to stall administrative duties in the Secretariat until investigation into the matter is properly concluded, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party was shocked to witness the forceful invasion of the Secretariat which has been under lock and key.

“As law-abiding citizens, we hereby, without any form of equivocation call on the AIG Zone 6, Commissioner of Police, Civil Defence and heads of all Security Agencies in Cross River State to expeditiously intervene and help restore the rule of law in the face of this brazen and evasive rape of the law by the APC. We hereby demand an explanation into this unlawful invasion of our Secretariat by the overzealous SWC of the APC.

“As a party, we are very much aware of the APC’s incurable craze and penchant for lawlessness both at the National and State Level, an obvious tragedy all rational Cross Riverian nay Nigerian, must speak against. We call on the APC to respect the rule of law and redeem her image in the eyes of the people, at least for once.

“As a party with the inalienable right to freedom of association as enshrined in our nation’s constitution, we shall continue to resist any attempt by the APC to gag, victimize or subjugate members of our great party.

“We also call on our teeming supporters and members of our great party to remain calm and law-abiding as we explore all legal and legitimate means towards reclaiming our party Secretariat”

    God Bless Cross River State.

    Signed
    Prince Mike Ojisi
    (State Publicity Secretary)

“I have assured INEC that we will make available to them everything they need to operate efficiently, so that no one will say we don’t want to go, or that we want a third term. There will be no excuse for failure. We will meet all of INEC’s demands.

“While I am still battling to clear the mess occasioned by the brazen zealotry of the purported spokesperson, may I warn that on no account should an appointee in the Media unit posture, parade or pass himself/herself off as speaking for His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade.

  • NDAF Set To Shut Down Julius Berger’s Quarry Site At Akamkpa LGA.

NDAF Set To Shut Down Julius Berger’s Quarry Site At Akamkpa LGA.

    By Admin

The Niger Delta Activists Forum NDAF, has disclosed that it would not hesitate to shutdown all Julius Berger’s facilities across the Niger Delta region with emphasis on their quarry site at Akankpa local government area if their demand is not given deserved priority attention within 7-days of its publication.

The forum made this known in a press release sighted by The Lumine News and signed by the National President, Comr. Jack Success, National Youth Leader, Comr. Bernard Oko Okori, Cross River State Chairman, Comr. Paul Ajie, State Public Relation Officer, Comr. Ogar, Emmanuel Oko.

    The release reads in full:

    “5th Noverber 2020

PRESS STATEMENT BY THE NIGER DELTA ACTIVISTS FORUM ON THE DELIBERATE MISAPPROPRIATION OF FUND BY JULIUS BERGER IN FLAGRANT NEGLECT TO THE DIRECTIVES OF THE FEDERAL MINISTER OF WORKS PERTAINING TO ODUKPANI-ITU ROAD.

“Good morning Comrades and gentlemen of the Press!
The Niger Delta Activists Forum (NDAF) is constrained by the reality on ground to make this statement on good authority as we also rely upon the veracity of our sources that had informed us of the intel between the Honourable Minister of Works, Babatunde Raji Fashola and the management of Julius Berger over the construction of Odukpani/ITU road.

“It is now an incontestable fact that huge fund has been released to Julius Berger via Sukkuk Bond with specific instruction to commence work from the Cross River State axis of the Odukpani/Itu road since it’s most deplorable. Since the release of the money, nothing is yet happening at the site and we are worried and disturbed.

“It baffles us at this juncture as we observed that the fund appears to have been misappropriated in flagrant disregard to the Minister’s directives.

“NDAF frowns at this highhandedness and being the only proponent agitating for the reconstruction of the road, and not ignorant of the latest happenings in the country with particular reference to the many unrests and #EndSar protest, would not want to be compelled to hit the streets as that would be colossal considering this volatile time of the moment.

“However, we would not hesitate to shutdown all Julius Berger’s facilities across the Niger Delta region with emphasis on their quarry site at Akankpa local government area if this release is not given deserved priority attention within 7-days of its publication.

“Failure to adhere to the aforestated within the stipulated time, the Niger Delta Activists Forum will respond accordingly including but not limited to sustained mass action.

    “For the Niger Delta people:

    Comrade Success Jack
    (National President)

    Comrade Okori Benard Oko
