The Federal Polytechnic, Ugep, has invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2026 academic session.
According to a release made available to Theluminenews and signed by the Registrar, Mr Obeten Okoi Esq, candidates who did not select the institution as their first choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) but scored 100 marks and above are eligible to apply for a change of institution through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
The release listed 23 National Diploma programmes and six Higher National Diploma programmes available for admission in the institution.
The ND programmes include Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Accountancy, Hospitality Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, Library and Information Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mass Communication, Science Laboratory Technology, Surveying and Geoinformatics, Urban and Regional Planning, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Artificial Intelligence, Agricultural Technology, Food Science Technology, Crime Management and Office Technology.
For the Higher National Diploma category, the available programmes are Software and Web Design, Networking and Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Business Administration, Public Administration and Statistics.
Admission Requirements
The institution stated that candidates seeking admission into its ND programmes must possess at least five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, and score a minimum of 100 marks in the 2026 UTME.
Applicants for HND programmes, on the other hand, must possess at least five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in addition to a National Diploma qualification with a minimum of Lower Credit and at least one year of Industrial Training (IT).
