The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, has condoled with the family of Late Mr William Awak Anam who passed away on 29th April, 2023.

The Governor, who was represented at the occasion by his Deputy, Rt Hon Peter Odey, prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed, asking that the Almighty Creator would grant the entire bereaved family the fortitude to cope with his demise.
Odey also used himself as an example of a man who had lost his dad at a young age but today he is a Deputy Governor by God’s grace. And as such, God will see her children through and someday, they will become Governor, President and all they desire to become in life.

In the condolence message to the family of the deceased, Senator Bassey Otu said, “Your beloved husband, father, uncle and friend will be greatly missed not only by his biological family members but also those he touched positively during his lifetime.”

Late Mr William Anam was a well-traveled family man. He was an agriculturist, businessman and marketing executive who worked in many reputable international companies including Nigerian German Chemicals Plc, SmithKline Beecham, Seven-Up Bottling Company, UNICEM and others.

The funeral service, which was held at the Flourishing Branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Calabar, was attended by family and friends.
