The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Cross River State Chapter, acknowledges and commends the patriotic decision of *Navy Commander Solomon Esor* to step down his Senatorial ambition for Cross River Central in the interest of party unity and national focus.
After wide consultation with stakeholders and in deference to the collective goal of securing victory for the PDP at the national level, Commander Esor has chosen to place party and country above personal ambition. This act of sacrifice exemplifies the discipline, loyalty, and statesmanship that the PDP stands for.
The State Chapter notes that Senator Sandy is now our Presidential flag bearer, and it is incumbent on all party faithfuls in Cross River State and beyond to rally behind him to ensure a resounding victory for the PDP in the forthcoming elections. We welcome Commander Esor’s redeployment to Abuja to coordinate efforts within the Presidential Campaign structure. His experience, discipline, and grassroots connection will be an asset to the national campaign.
To the teeming supporters of Cross River Central, we urge you to remain calm, steadfast, and united. This strategic move strengthens our position within the party and broadens the opportunities available to Cross River State in 2027 and beyond. Our commitment to the people of Cross River Central remains unshaken, and their interests will continue to be protected and advanced.
The PDP Cross River State thanks Commander Esor for his loyalty, sacrifice, and service to the party. We call on all party members to take a cue from this example of unity and work together to return the PDP to power at the national level.
Our work continues, now on a bigger stage, and victory is certain when we stand together.
