The University of Calabar has reacted to a ‘fake’ recruitment advertisement trending in the social media.
The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Effiong.B. Eyo, in a statement on Monday warned members of the public to shun the advertisement as it did not emanate from the University.
According to the statement, members of the public should be wary of the antics of fraudsters who are bent on deceiving them with the promise of offering them jobs in Unical.
The Statement reads thus: ” the institution wishes to categorically state that it is currently not conducting any recruitment exercise.
” Should the institution decide to engage more hands, the Public will be notified through appropriate, recognized and official channels of communication”
