Jarigbe Flags Off Ibiaragidi–Anyikang–Utukwe–Ububa–Ukum Road Construction in Bekwarra LGA

The Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has flagged off the construction of the Ibiaragidi–Utukwe–Anyikang and Ububa–Ukum road, linking Ibiaragidi and Ugboro communities in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State.

Speaking during the flag-off ceremony, the Constituency Officer, Mr. Egar Mgbantul, described the project as Senator Jarigbe’s intervention aimed at addressing long-standing rural neglect.

Mr. Egar assured the people of Ugboro and Ibiaragidi that the road project would be completed within the stipulated timeframe. He noted that, upon completion, the road will become the first rural road ever facilitated by a Lawmaker to Bekwarra LGA and would ease transportation, improve access to markets, and boost economic activities in the predominantly agrarian communities.

“Rural–urban migration largely occurs because development does not reach our people. The reason Senator Jarigbe brought this project here is to address the apparent neglect of our rural areas,” Mr. Egar added.

Constituents have commended the Senator for the initiative, praying that God grants him the strength and wisdom to continue delivering more developmental projects to the district.
