CRN YPP Candidate, Francis Agaba Dissociates From The Alleged Adoption Of Steve Odey, Commences Campaign

By Elijah Ugani

The candidate of the You Progressive Party YPP for the Cross River Northern senatorial bye-election, Dr. Francis Agaba described the allegation of his adoption of the factional candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Dr. Stephen Odey as a desperation taken too far to hoodwink his supporters for the December 5th bye election.

Agaba was reacting to speculation of his alleged adoption of Dr. Odey.

In release made available to The Lumine News and signed by Dr. Francis Agaba indicates that while he regrets his innocent companion with the PDP candidate, he has nothing to do with the alleged endorsement.

The release reads in parts “While I regret my innocent companion with the PDP Candidate, I want to state categorically that I have nothing to do with the alleged endorsement of Dr Stephen Odey as there is no agreement to that effect.

“I am still eminently in the race to win the Senate race to represent the good people of Cross River North Senatorial District.

“I call on our numerous supporters to come out en masse to vote YPP for a better Cross River North”

To substantiate the veracity of his dissociation from the alleged endorsement, the YPP candidate hit the streets of Obanliku, Obudu and Bekwarra as well as Ogoja and Yala local governments area to sell his candidature while insisting that he has the requisite capacity to change the narratives of representation at the red chambers.
