While delivering his tribute to the deceased, Distinguished Sen. Prof Sandy Ojang Onor who also read the tribute on behalf of the President of the Nigerian Senate; Sen. Ahmed Ibrahim Lawal, Ph.D., CON had this to say:
“This year has been a year of too many negatives for you. You lost your mother in-law. You lost your mother. Barbarians invaded the sanctity of your home in Calabar, today, Amaka your wife is gone. Why did it happen? Many people shouldn’t bother anymore. It happened so that through you, the name of the lord might be glorified. Amaka is simply irreplaceable”.
“Very close to you, i got to know who she was to you and the family. Simply irreplaceable. She was an excellent and dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, sister and friend to many. She was a model, mentor and benefactor to several persons. As a devout Catholic, she was dedicated to serving God and humanity. Her love for children and glowing passion for quality education prompted her to establish Start-rite schools. Her dedication to excellence was evidently expressed in the quality service delivery of the school. She will be truly missed”.
“May God alone who is the God of all possibilities grant you and the entire family the fortitude to keep on even as she goes to heaven. On behalf of the exceedingly good people of Cross River Central, may her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen”
