Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has met with stakeholders of the Team Jari political family in Ogoja, Cross River State, as he canvassed support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu.
The meeting, held at the senator’s residence in Ogoja, brought together former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who defected with Jarigbe to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in October 2025.
Addressing the stakeholders, Jarigbe expressed appreciation for their continued loyalty, support and commitment to the political family.
He urged members to remain united and focused, stressing that collective action and sustained engagement would be crucial to achieving their political objectives and strengthening the APC’s presence across Cross River North.
The senator also called on the stakeholders to support the re-election bids of President Tinubu and Governor Otu, saying their continued administration would help attract further infrastructural development and human capital investment to Cross River State and the senatorial district.
Jarigbe dismissed what he described as political insinuations and speculations capable of creating divisions among APC candidates and stakeholders. He urged members of the political family to ignore distractions and remain focused on the collective interest of the party.
He further called on stakeholders to work towards the emergence of all APC candidates at the polls, identifying grassroots mobilisation, unity and sustained engagement with voters as key to the party’s electoral success.
The senator also advised APC candidates to maintain regular contact with their constituents and stakeholders, noting that continuous interaction with the people was essential to understanding their needs, building trust and securing electoral support.
According to him, political success goes beyond party structures and requires a strong relationship between candidates and the electorate.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for Team Jari stakeholders to reaffirm their commitment to the political family and deliberate on strategies to strengthen the APC’s support base across Cross River North.
Jarigbe urged the stakeholders to continue working together in the spirit of unity and mutual understanding, expressing confidence that their collective efforts would contribute to electoral victory for the APC and promote the development of the people of the state.
He made a donation of 50M for logistics to the stakeholders.
