The Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has initiated the construction of the Anyikang–Ibiaragidi–Utukwe–Ububa-Ukum road in Ibiaragidi Ward, Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The event took place during a grand civic reception held in Ibiaragidi and was witnessed by the Senator’s representative, the project contractor, traditional leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bekwarra Local Government Area.
Speaking at the occasion on Tuesday, Mr. Egar Mgbantul, on behalf of the Senator, stated that the project marks a significant stride toward complementing Senator Jarigbe’s efforts in rural development. He highlighted the strategic importance of the road, noting that it aligns with the Senator’s vision of improving rural access and enhancing agricultural marketing.
Mr. Egar further noted that, this is the first time in the history of Cross River North that rural communities are receiving such unprecedented attention in road construction, emphasizing the project’s transformative potential for the rural economy of the state.
JRB Construction, the firm handling the project, was ably represented at the ceremony by Engr. Ibrahim Ismail.
