The Cross River State Government has officially released the 2025/2026 Primary School Placement Examination results, with an impressive 95.9 percent of candidates successfully meeting the pass mark.
The Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, approved the release after receiving the results from the Director of Examinations and Certificates, Mr. Amaku Asuquo. He praised the Director of the Examination Records Centre (ERC), Dr. Moses Agbereyo, and the examination team for ensuring the timely processing and release of the results.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, Professor Odey reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to delivering public examination results within two weeks of the completion of examinations, describing the milestone as part of the government’s drive for efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the education sector.
According to the Commissioner, 95.90 percent of candidates passed the examination, while 4.10 percent did not attain the required pass mark. He said the strong performance reflects the steady improvement in the quality of basic education across Cross River State.
Professor Odey attributed the successful conduct of the examination to the prompt release of funds by Governor Bassey Otu, expressing appreciation for the Governor’s continued investment and support for educational development in the state.
He also announced that candidates can now check their results online through the Ministry of Education’s examination portal, eliminating the need to visit the Ministry or Local Government Education Authorities to obtain their results.
The Commissioner urged the examination team to sustain the pace by ensuring the prompt release of the Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination (JSSCE) and SS2 Mock Examination results. He reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to improved service delivery in line with the Governor’s People First agenda.
